We have heard about TEDx or Ted Talk, they are intellectual platforms for talk shows, where, wise, famous & legendary people share their pieces of knowledge and experiences in the form of speeches to interest groups. The basic revenue model is earning from tickets, sponsorship, video monetization, membership fees, etc.

Taking a similar talk show business model of revenue here I propose language-level regional talk shows. I have searched on the internet whether any such organization exists anywhere in India that runs in a ted fashion, nope, the search engine could not return a matching result, I am sure this model of nonprofit business in regional and language contexts does not exist. To operate as a permanent platform for the interest group the organization will mainly focus on the history of the region and the intellectual resources.

Let us see how this model can be put into an enterprise frame. And generate surplus revenue to support its associates and social causes.
  1. Have a team like any event management company does, from creative to operations.
  2. Decide on a goal, objective, and purpose
  3. Make a list of interesting and attractive themes
  4. Make a list of successful and famous people who strongly represent the selected theme.
  5. Have a tie-up with the theater with a minimum of one hundred seats.
  6. Tie up with an online ticket aggregator.
  7. Invest in videography, stage show gadgets
  8. Obtain different licenses required to run an NGO
  9. Promote a social cause, seek support from Government, and commercial establishments to grow up quickly.
  10. Set up a strong digital marketing wing.

Important things to remember

In setting up this talk show business organization, one needs to spend more on the people than on physical assets, a high chance of success when a group of people with the same interest will work together. I suggest not investing high as bootstrapping but go for crowdfunding and government support.

The initial 10 to 20 shows will be challenging but if successfully done the value of the show will rise, which will result in earnings from ticket selling, video monetization, company sponsorship, CSR contact, etc.
